Covenant World Relief

Thank you for your generous donations to Covenant World Relief. Thornapple members donated over $46,000 on November 20, 2011.

Thornapple has been a supporter of Covenant World Relief for many years.  We designate the month of November as a special time to raise funds to support Covenant World Relief.  We use soup cans with special Covenant World Relief labels to collect donations in at home.

Donations can be dropped off in the church office to Brenda Veen. Note CWR on the memo line.

Covenant World Relief is an effective and efficient humanitarian aid ministry with a sixty-year history. CWR collaborates with partners around the world to provide relief, rehabilitation and transformational development. These partnerships empower local ministries, increase local involvement, reduce overhead and facilitate immediate response to disaster and human suffering. Our charge is to love, serve and work together with the poor, the powerless, and the marginalized. If you would like to give directly to CWR they have a "Covenant Cares" page to help you. Covenant Cares provides a meaningful way to give a gift while at the same time support the life-changing ministries of the church. Whether you provide a village with a sow; support a clean water project; or underwrite a school scholarship for a young child, your gift will make a difference in the lives of people around the world.
