Thornapple's Food Pantry
Thornapple has a food pantry that is used to help families in need - those in our congregation and in our community. Our Bhutanese community is especially appreciative of the help they receive through our food pantry.
We welcome donations of items throughout the year. Please drop donations at church in the designated barrel just out side of the library.
Current needs: We are especially low on pasta, cereal and pasta sauce. We also need plastice grocery bags.
Here is the list of the items we regularly need:
Dry Goods:
- toilet paper
- liquid dish soap
- liquid laundry detergent
- bar soap
- shampoo
- deodorant
- tooth paste
- tooth brushes
- feminine pads
- lotion
- diapers (sizes 2-4)
- baby wipes
Nonperishable Food Items
- cereal
- peanut butter
- jam
- pasta/spaghetti/ramen noodles
- pasta sauces
- juice - 100%
- tuna/canned meat
- soups
- ketchup/condiments
- baking goods
- canned fruit
- canned vegetables
- microwavable pasta meals
Donations of money are always welcome, too. These are used to puchase the above items when we are in critical need of them. Thank you from all those who are in need of this service and from those who help in the food pantry. With questions about the food pantry contact Kim Mulder at kmulder@thornapple.org or 957-0580.
